Danny Elfman’s split score album of Pee-wee’s Big Adventure (1985) and Back To School (1986), comes to limited edition “Rebel Splatter” color vinyl to celebrate its 40th Anniversary. Actor Paul Reubens’ created Pee-wee Herman in the late 1970’s, leading to the Tim Burton directed Pee-wee’s Big Adventure. Elfman was brought in to score the film, and a dream creative pairing was born. The following year Elfman scored Back To School starring Rodney Dangerfield, kick-starting a career as one of Hollywood’s greatest composers.
